The Dream South Beach to Finally Open on June 1

The Dream South Beach, formerly The Tudor, as it looked in March.

So that April 1 opening date for the Dream South Beach was definitely a joke but now there's another new date for our dream to come true--June 2.

A "hotel girl" tipped us off to the June opening date and when we scurred over to the Dream website, we did indeed find availability on June 1.

While the website is advertising a grand opening rate of $179 a night, we actually found rates for $170 on June 1 for one of those groovy mood-lit blue rooms with a king bed. It's an advance purchase rate that's non-refundable but it does save you a few dollars.

And since the Dream brand is a part of the Wyndham family, the reservations system on the website redirects you to Wyndham where you can use your Wyndham ByRequest membership to earn/use points for your stay. Do we have this new partnership with Wyndham to thank for making this Dream come true? We're starting to think so.

Oh and don't forget, Chef Geoffrey Zakarian will be fulfilling your foodie dreams here with his restaurant, Tudor House Miami. Now, the countdown is on until we wake up in the Dream. Will be readying our dream journal in the meantime.
